Belvedere USA Corporation celebrates its 80 Year Anniversary.

Wella Corporation

In October 1998, Wella Corporation acquires all assets of Belvedere Company to form belvedere USA Corporation.

Belvedere Company

Smith Investment Company purchases Belvedere and changes the name to Belvedere Company.

1971

Art Weaver

Revlon sells the company to 16 employees, including Art Weaver, who directs the company until 1978.

1964

Revlon

Revlon purchases the company and retains ownership until 1971.

1957

Belvedere introduces first line of hydraulic chairs for salons.

1957: Eisenhower Doctrine calls for aid to Mideast countries that resist armed aggression from Communist-controlled nations. Russian launch Sputnik I, first Earth-orbiting satellite - the Space Age begins.

Company renamed Belvedere Products reflecting a new line of shampoo bowls and accessories.

1946: First meeting of UN General Assembly opens in London. Winston Churchill's "Iron Curtain" speech warms of Soviet expansion. Benjamin Spock's child care classi published.

Kiefer designs an unique shampoo bowl

Kiefer designs an unique shampoo bowl that incorporated a "dip" at one end of the bowl to accommodate the neck of the customer and allows their head to be positioned inside the bowl.
